In 2018, the flow of tourists from Portugal to Ukraine increased by 10.7% compared to 2017.
This was reported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
In general, last year our country was visited by 21.7 thousand citizens of Portugal.
“Changes in the structure of the tourist flow as a whole were the result of the intensification of Ukraine's promotion in the international tourism market, bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and other countries, as well as an increase in the volume of direct and budget air traffic”, — the Director of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of MEDT Oksana Serdyuk stated.
In addition, in 2018, Portugal was visited by 8.6 thousand citizens of Ukraine, which is 9.4 times more than the year before.
Also in 2018, there was an increase in the volume of tourist flows from non-border countries: Israel — 317.8 thousand people (+21.7%), Germany — 237.9 thousand people (+13.3%), the UK— 116 thousand people (+47.3%).
As it has been prevoiusly reported, in 2018, tourists from the EU increased their visits to Ukraine.
