26 public officials selected for EU-funded training programme on EU accession topics at the College of Europe in Natolin

The first three groups of 26 Ukrainian officials have been selected to participate in the Tailored Onsite Knowledge and Analytical Skills Programme at the College of Europe in Natolin. This intensive training initiative is part of the EU-funded project “Natolin4Capacity Building Phase II – Strengthening Ukrainian Public Administration for EU Integration,” jointly implemented by the College of Europe in Natolin and the High School of Public Governance.

The open competition, targeted at employees actively engaged in the EU accession process, attracted significant interest. The selection process, conducted in collaboration with the Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration (GOCEEI), included 47 individual interviews to identify participants who best met the professional criteria, demonstrated engagement, and exhibited strong motivation.

Due to the high number of qualified applicants, the originally planned two training groups were expanded to three. The following training sessions will take place:

• 1st edition – “Core Fundamentals, Social and Foreign Relations Policies”: 10 June – 25 July 2025

• 2nd edition – “Internal Market”: 3 August – 12 September 2025

• 3rd edition – “Core Fundamentals, Social and Foreign Relations Policies”: 21 September – 31 October 2025

In total, 26 officials will take part in these three cohorts, each comprising 8 to 9 participants. All selected individuals demonstrated solid knowledge of the EU integration framework and a high level of English proficiency.

The selected participants represent a broad cross-section of Ukrainian public institutions:

• 1st edition: Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Justice, National Agency on Corruption Prevention, State Service on Medicines and Drugs Control, Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Police of Ukraine.

• 2nd edition: Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada, National Securities and Stock Market Commission, National Bank of Ukraine, Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations, Ministry of Economy, GOCEEI, Deposit Guarantee Fund.

• 3rd edition: State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection, State Border Guard Service, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Justice, State Space Agency, Secretariat of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

The Training Programme consists of 6-week intensive training sessions hosted at the College of Europe in Natolin, Warsaw, combining theoretical and practical learning, expert-led instruction, and the development of analytical policy papers.

In total, 12 training groups will be formed under until the project’s end in January 2027. The next open call and information on upcoming topics will be announced in July–August 2025.
