Enhancing Ukraine’s preparation on the way to the EU membership: Olga Stefanishyna signed a Memorandum of Understanding with EY

On August 26th, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine and chief negotiator Olga Stefanishyna signed a Memorandum of Understanding with EY, on cooperation in the areas of project management coordination, engagement in streamlining and structuring processes and facilitating daily operations of the teams handling tasks related to Ukraine’s EU Accession Process. The aim is to ensure effective and seamless integration progress, including aligning Ukraine’s national legislation with the EU acquis.

“By signing this Memorandum of Understanding, we are taking another crucial step to ensure that Ukraine builds much needed cooperation and utilizes all possible instruments to enhance our expertise and draw from available experience on our path to EU accession,” stated Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna. “I am deeply grateful and eagerly anticipate a fruitful collaboration. Together, we will bolster Ukraine’s capacity for successful negotiations on our path to EU membership.”

EY has extensive experience, and professional relationships that may be valuable for Ukraine as it progresses towards EU membership.

The Memorandum was also signed by the Director General of the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Oleksandr Ilkov.

As it is stated in the document, working closely with Office of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine and Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, EY would help to build operational management through involvement of third-party experts, and advisors, who may engage in such tasks as planning, coordinating, monitoring, and tracking various aspects and tasks during the preparations for negotiations between Ukraine and the EU.
