A meeting was held to discuss the first results of the Natolin4Capacity Building training program on European integration for Ukrainian civil servants.

The project, funded by the EU and implemented by the College of Europe in Natolin, aims to support Ukrainian public administration in implementing comprehensive European integration reforms on the path to the EU.

Daria Gaidai, Deputy Head of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, and Polina Kazakevych, National Expert of the Natolin4Capacity Building project, discussed the project implementation, as well as possible ways to continue the program and support the training component to increase the capacity of Ukrainian civil servants in the context of Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

Daria Gaidai praised the results of the comprehensive training program and emphasized the importance of continuing and deepening this area.

The project consists of three components: an online platform with 16 courses in English and Ukrainian; a series of 2-month training programs at the College of Europe in Natolin; and seminars, meetings and workshops for graduates of the two-month training programs.

As of mid-March 2024, more than 6,500 people, including representatives of central and regional executive authorities, were registered on the learning platform.

A total of 52 civil servants will take part in the 2-month educational programs at the College of Europe in Poland. The 8th group of civil servants is currently undergoing training. Representatives of 12 ministries, as well as other services and agencies responsible for various areas of European integration, took part. In the future, these experts will be involved in the process of negotiating Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
