90% of Ukrainians want Ukraine to join the EU by 2030: poll

According to a poll conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) at the request of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in May 2024, ninety percent of Ukrainians say they want Ukraine to become a member of the European Union by 2030, and 84% want it to join NATO. At the same time, 77% and 71% of respondents expect that this is quite possible.

The survey results show that the desire of citizens to join the EU has remained stable over the past two years. At the same time, the desire for Ukraine to join the Alliance has increased from 73% in 2022.

In addition, the survey showed that 70% of respondents believe that it will take at least two years for Ukraine to join the EU, while the same number of respondents believe that it will take at least two years for Ukraine to join NATO.

The survey was conducted by telephone from 8 to 25 May 2024 using CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interview) software. A total of 2,508 interviews were conducted within the survey. The random error for the national sample does not exceed 2.2%.
