An explanatory session on freedom of capital movement was held as part of the official EU screening

During the session on negotiating Chapter 4, the participants discussed, in particular, the rules of free movement of capital, which is one of the four fundamental freedoms of the European Union’s internal market, as well as restrictions that apply both within the EU and between member states. One of the key issues is the compliance with the EU Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Directive.

The next explanatory sessions will take place on April 15 and 16 and will cover the following chapters: 18 “Statistics” and 28 “Consumer Protection and Healthcare”.
The explanatory sessions for all negotiated chapters will last until the end of May 2024.
